For his tenth solo exhibition at Skopia, Pierre Schwerzmann presented a series of 152 paintings measuring 30 × 24 cm as well as a series of monochrome paintings and inkjet prints on canvas.
For this exhibition, Skopia invited Mbaye Diop, an artist from Saint-Louis (Senegal) to create large mural paintings in the main gallery space.
“Elaedanla Teïtéïa” is a group show celebrating Skopia’s 30th Anniversary, featuring pieces by all the artists the gallery currently works with.
Skopia’s first time showing American artist Melissa Steckbauer. This solo show featured recent pieces of photographs printed on paper, with which the artist proceeded to create cuts, collages and superpositions of images.
“L’Enseigne” was a solo show by Thomas Huber, in which he explored the space of Skopia gallery. A book was published for the occasion.
Skopia is delighted to announce the participation of Franz Erhard Walther at Art Basel Unlimited. Gelbmodellierung, 1980-81 is the largest work Walther has ever made in the Wallformation series. It has not been seen for 26 years, having last been shown at the Vienna Secession in 1989.
