Émilien Leroy was born in 1976. He lives and works in Dunkerque, France.
Émilien Leroy is an artist performer who uses videos and sounds of industrial harbors with a certain fascination to build his visual and sound universe. Musician known with the nickname Feromil, he makes scrap metal sing, plays the metal detector, builds noisy fabrics, and surveys harbors areas in search of the sounds and “tonal smells” of the shipyards. From these immersions, he undertakes a collection of sound postcards, under the name of « Sonata di porto. »
