Leanne Picthall
Leanne Picthall was born in Genolier, Switzerland, in 1999. She lives and works in Borex, Switzerland.
She studied at HEAD (Haute école d'art et design) in Geneva, graduating in June 2023. Her main practice is oil painting, often taking the form of self-portraits.
Her work deals above all with emotional ambivalence, more specifically with emotions that are at odds with one another. She is interested in how these states, often difficult to describe, coexist in the same moment, at different intensities depending on the paintings. It is this internal conflict that she attempts to transcribe in her practice.
